Carter brought home an excellent report card. The teacher's comments:
Carter continues to demonstrate strength in all areas of our program. He has a firm grasp on the foundational kindergarten skills and is able to apply them to new learning situations. in match, he has been working on concepts about patterns, whole numbers, problem solving and relational objects. Carter has strong phonemic awareness and he is able to blend sounds together to make words as well as rhyme. Because Carter is solid on reading and writing short vowel words, we are beginning to focus on digraphs (sh, ch, th) and blends (pl, dr, st). In writing Carter does well remembering to put spaces between his words and he is able to write phonetically. He readily participates in group conversations and brings great ideas to our classroom discussions. Socially, Carter is well-liked because he is kind and considerate. he has many friends and is inclusive in play. I appreciate his good-natured attitude. Thank you for all of your efforts to encourage such an inspired learner, he is a joy to teach!
