Adding the eves troughs and the soffets

Moving the windows

While the siding was off, we decided to make the window in Henri's room larger as well as drop the other two windows in the bedrooms 6 inches. Not a lot, but if we were going to do it, this was the time to do it.... Henri's room with window before. With the new window... The other bedrooms with the window moved down... you can see the difference in this during picture... from the outside... See before how the windows where completely against the roof? Now they are a little more "normal" looking...

New insulation under that siding!

We're getting some additional insulation put under the new siding, hopefully it will save us some dough on the heating bill this winter!

My Mother's Day

I got a present from each of my children....

Carter got me a photo holder and Henri some flowers.  Valerie did an act of service... twice with notification, once for me once for our Nursery Attendant at church.... I'll let you tell her about it...

Siding going up!

Demo is done... the old siding is off of the front as well as the shutters...

 This is the back.  The two upper windows will each be moved down 6 inches.  Should make it easier for the kids to look out as well as add a little light since they won't be so close to the roof. Above one window there was evidence the raccoons we found evidence of during inspection had been munching on the wood there.

That's the back door, this is the side next to garage and deck.

After... the wood will be adding to the final cost since the siding was attached??? To the studs???  There's also NO insulation up there. (Above the garage)
