I have been counting mileage in metric, but I still can't seem to convert to metric for temperature. I can't wrap my head around an entire week where the HIGH temperatures are a negative number.
This week it's been less than 10 degrees F but above 0 (not looking at windchill). So I've been working on perfecting my winter running layers:
Knit hat, balaclava (plus fleece neck and or ear warmer if it's windy) buff or handkerchief for the inevitable running nose, wind jacket, thick long sleeved run shirt, thin base layer on top and bottom, 2 pairs of gloves-one knit and one a waterproof knit with flap mitten on top to keep dry, optional run tights, jogging pants (a bit thicker pant), shoes and if Icy spikes that go over my shoes and if snowy Yak Traks over the shoes.
