Moving Henri

Night 1 of Operation Move Henri to the Toddler Bed while Carter's Away Camping... so far so good!

Busy week with Kaylee

This week we had Kaylee stay with us while her parents are enjoying an anniversary trip.  The first two days, Kaylee and Carter were like PB&J.  Kaylee was supposed to stay in the toddler bed that Henri will eventually go to in Carter's room.  The first night, they fell asleep side by side after 2 hours of chattering.  The second night they slept at either end after about 20 minutes of chattering.

Last night they were each in their own beds.  Today, they were on each other nerves, doing what they did when Kaylee was 2 and Carter was 4.  You know, like siblings.  The whole "Don't touch me" while the other sticks their finger as close as possible to the other "I'm NOT touching you"  Seriously, I was counting down the hours today, but it definitely was a test drive for 3 kids.  Esp the trips to Costco and Fred Meyer, lol.

Well, Kaylee went to her neighbor's tonight and mom and dad picked up Carter for a camping trip with Etienne (so I'll have pictures of that when he comes back) and tonight I enjoyed just Henri before trying my goal for the week-to move him to the toddler bed.  We tried when Carter was here and both boys are just too dang excited to have Henri in the same room that neither can fall asleep.  So this week while Carter's gone and I can shut the door, we'll see if we can get Henri to stay in the toddler bed.  If we can, we'll get a gate for the door that Carter can walk through to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but will keep Henri from wandering around should he wake at an unpleasant hour.

Which he was been.  Poor Henri is going from 8 teeth to 16 teeth in one month, ouch!  As Jodi described it, it's like little softball welts on his gums waiting for the teeth to shoot up.  I keep trying to take a picture, but it's hard to do!

So I'll end by entertaining you with two videos of Henri dancing...

Clamming video

Henri putting clams in moms bucket for her.

don't let Henri's serious look fool you, he couldn't get enough of his one-man see-saw...

Figuring out how to upload video from new camera

I got a new camera, details on that later, but hopefully my pictures are clearer and better.  I think I'm finally figuring out how to get the video off it, here are a few I took of Henri over the weekend.

Pregancy update: 31 weeks

Well, 32 on Tuesday.

Last appt baby was growing well, she's probably between 3.5 and 4 pounds right now.  Measuring 4-6 days ahead, which is a great thing in case this blood pressure thing skyrockets and we have to deliver early, gives us almost an extra week.

The blood pressure is slowly climbing.  Last week Sun-Wed it was pretty high.  (I have a home monitor and measure everyday because I'm always in a rush at the Dr. it's high) But thurs-Saturday it was terrific so when I saw the Dr. on Monday she decided to sit and wait until my appt in 2 weeks unless I get several high days in between.  She also did not mention bedrest, rather that she'd increase my medication.  I'm guessing she's figured bedrest with two kids on summer vacation is not really practical!

This week it has not been great, but not horrible, either, so I'm trying to take it easy when I can.  Paul is now the official vacuumer (it's REALLY heavy, esp with all the stairs in our house) and Lawn Mower (the mower is heavy and really hard on the carpel tunnel).

My carpel tunnel is also getting worse.  Paul actually had to finish dressing Henri for me in the morning the other day (it's worst when I first wake up)

A few belly pics, the one looking down you'll notice it's not nice and round due to the tumor removal that happened between Carter & Henri's births, my poor belly button is clear off to the right side, lol!

Oh, and though we are narrowing the field of names we still do not have one for baby girl :)

Kari's visit-the boat

Mom & Dad, Bryan, John & Kari and all the kids and I went on their boat.  After they tried to get the boat out of the garage without opening it completely! Henri LOVED all the outdoor activity.

On Gedney Island, we went clam digging...

Kari supervised the operation...

Kari's visit

Kari is out visiting us from Chicago.  While Carter was at school Friday, Henri and I took her to Pike Place for chowder... this guy was hula hooping and playing the guitar.

We had chowder at Pike Place Chowder in Post Alley
