Feeling like I have 3 kids...

Last night feedings were pretty good: 10pm, midnight, 2am, 4am, 7am

So 7am I wake up in a bed with me, Paul, Henri and Valerie in the bassinette next to us.  I felt next to me to discover 1/3 of Henri's milk cup had spilled on the comforter, so I'll be washing all the bedding today after church (I just washed and made the bed 2 days ago).

Then I look over at Valerie who stinks and is sitting in a wet/poopy spot.  Note that I already ripped off the bassinette bedding once in the night, so I rip off the second layer and put that in the growin accumulation of laundry.  I strip her down and give her a bath, then start the bath for the boys who need one. 

Get boys (who are now awake) naked and in the tub, meanwhile feed Valerie.  Hear, "Henri pooped in the tub!  Gross!"  Instruct boys to move into MY tub and get Carter to fill it up.  Finish feeding Valerie, put her in the crib.  Wash the boys' bodies & hair, get them out and dressed and put toast and apples in front of them.  I take a shower and even put on makeup for the first time since having a baby.  Even have my hair out of the ponytail, finally.

Get out to Henri squealing.  Go down to laundry room to find I must have been interrupted moving the laundry over and finish moving the laundry over.  Come back to dining room to see Henri's fingers covered in my Nutella from MY breakfast.

It's now 9am, and I have 2 more loads of laundry in my future today besides folding and putting away the one in the dryer.  What did I do with only 2 kids?  I must have been bored out of my mind!

Since her umbilical cord fell off Sunday when I changed her, the boys and I decided to dig in and give her a bath...

Forest Park birthday party

Jaxon's birthday party was at Forest Park.  Dad bought Valerie a swimsuit to wear...  It is size 0-3 months but so big on her that when she pooped her diaper right before we  left, I just scooted both legs through one leg hole, changed her and scooted her leg back over.

Postpartum appt

Well, I'm down 10 pounds since last week, luckily Valerie has stayed steady at 5p 5o which is what she was when we left the hospital Friday. They looked at her feeding/diaper schedule and said, "my, you've been busy!" 13 feedings in last 24 hours. We had a good laugh though when I said, "I realized this morning there may have been more wet diapers than that. I kept looking at only the front part of the diaper!" Guess a girl is different!

She's no longer got the yucky newborn poop, so I guess things are going through her well.  The nurse said my milk must have come in because of this, but since she feeds so often, I'm having a hard time telling since there hasn't been engorgement issues because of the constant feeding.

I'm sort of keeping up on stuff, just barely, though the kids are getting to do more of what they want and Paul is helping me out.

Friday night Valerie ate every hour on the hour for about 20-30 minutes until about 3 or 4am, then slept until 7am when the boys got up.

Last night she pretty much ate constantly from 10pm until 2:30 or 3am!  So church just didn't happen this morning, oh well. 

Yesterday we did go to visit my grandparents, unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of THAT!  They hadn't ever seen a baby so tiny up close.  My aunt and uncle and cousins got to meet her as well.
