Views from our room in Turks & Caicos

We got upgraded due to the fact our last name was the same as the bride's!  5th Floor of the Italian Village.  The second picture is off our balcony, the first picture is out our front door.

Turks & Caicos Day 1&2

We are in the Turks & Caicos for Paul's sister's Karen's wedding on Monday at an all-inclusive resort.

We got to Turks & Caicos yesterday and went straight to the kids' pool.  Carter loved the waterslides & swim-up bar and all the chocolate milk he can drink. Last night we had a big dinner with all the people here for the wedding (Paul's family and Mark's)

We promptly all passed out at 8pm and were up between 6 & 7 AM so we got a buffet breakfast and headed to the beautiful beach.  Carter had so much fun playing in the water and the sand.  Then we went to the pool, then finally to lunch and Erin ran to her pedicure appointment.

We ended up getting an upgrade to a room just like Mark & Karen's that has a separate kids' room (we really wanted a room like that but it was SUPER expensive.)  We chose our original room party due to a spa credit and plan to still use the spa credit, lol!

Visiting Santa

Holy Moly did Carter have a lot to ask Santa for!  Here's a picture of the picture, didn't have time to scan it.  Leaving tomorrow from Turks & Caicos!  I'll try to post some pics while we are there, otherwise, you'll all have to wait a week until we get back.

Update on the Baggage situation with our trip

I sent an e-mail to the airline asking them if we could have a refund of our baggage fees due to the situation I wrote about earlier this weekend.

I got an e-mail back.  We can't refund your baggage fees, we are allowed to move baggage around, blah, blah, blah.  But here's $200 in travel vouchers for future travel ($100 for me, $100 for Carter) for your troubles.

I told Carter & his response was WooHoo!

Henri's Birthday

At Paul's parents' house, they have Sunday supper where everyone joins for supper.  If it is someone's birthday, they get to choose the meal, cake, etc.

Henri's birthday was celebrated today (Paul and my anniversary, BTW) He really liked the cake.

Church this morning

Tried out the local United Church of Canada this morning (their version of the United Methodist).  There are two in town, we tried the closer one.  It was nice, a little smaller than our home church and they have a small nursery, a children's drama room with a stage & costumes, a children's craft/creative room, a senior youth meeting room, a library (including children's books, they let Carter borrow two) and a nice kitchen.

And they like to move a service-1 hour in and out, lol!
